Plan wedding photography coverage for your ceremony, reception and family portraits, with packages for Central Coast and nearby NSW weddings.
Wedding photography coverage is the time I am present to photograph your day, not a promised image count. Choosing the right hours protects the moments you value without forcing the ceremony, portraits or reception into an unrealistic schedule.
Start with the events you want photographed, then work backwards from their scheduled times. Ceremony length, travel between venues, sunset, the number of family groups and the timing of reception formalities all affect the hours required. If preparation and late-night dancing are both priorities, short coverage will not do the job.
My wedding photography packages currently include shorter elopement options as well as five-hour, 7.5-hour and up-to-10-hour coverage. The longer options can include preparation, family and bridal party portraits, speeches, cake cutting and the bridal waltz, depending on the selected package.
The ceremony cannot be repeated, so coverage should begin before the aisle entrance rather than at the moment the vows start. This creates room for venue details, guest arrivals, the wedding party and genuine reactions. It also avoids a rushed start if traffic, parking or the ceremony setup takes longer than expected.
Australia’s official marriage guidance confirms that the ceremony includes required wording and the signing of three marriage certificates by the couple, celebrant and two witnesses. Your photography timeline should therefore allow the celebrant to lead these legal steps without interruption while I document them naturally.
Family portraits work best with a short, prioritised list prepared before the wedding. Begin with grandparents, parents, siblings, children and immediate family groups, then add extended combinations if time permits. Ask one relative from each side to gather people while I photograph the current group. That simple job prevents missing guests and protects time for relaxed couple portraits.
Reception coverage can include room styling, entrances, candid guest interactions, speeches, cake cutting, table photographs and the bridal waltz. Do not assume every formality will happen on time. Confirm the run sheet with your venue or MC and build a buffer around the last must-have event. If the first dance matters, coverage should finish after it, not at its scheduled start time.
If you are comparing inclusions as well as hours, read my advice on choosing a wedding photography package. It explains how budget, wedding style, editing, delivery and optional additions affect the decision.
I photograph weddings across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter Valley, with coverage options suited to intimate ceremonies and fuller wedding-day stories. I will help you compare your timeline with the available package hours, so the coverage reflects your real priorities rather than a generic checklist.
Enquire about your wedding date and share your ceremony time, venues and essential reception moments. I can then recommend a practical coverage option for your plans.
